City Farm Serve
We raised a little over $700 at the community meal last week and this will go directly to the Southside Community Land Trust. They are a wonderful organization practically in the backyard of the church.

Most of us probably don't realize it but much of our sound system is either broken, borrowed or subpar. We are long overdue to make some needed updates.
2017: Men
It's on our hearts to gather men who are serious about spiritual growth twice a month on Thursday evenings (2nd and 4th Thursdays) 7:30-9pm for the purpose of serious discipleship. It will run for 10 months February-November (20 sessions). We are calling this the “Making of a Man” group. This is open to any men who regularly attend the church.

In 2017 we are going to change the format of the weekly Wednesday 7-8:30pm Refresh gathering to include systematic teaching from the Word or going through great Christian books.

Christmas Boost
The neighborhood team will be meeting at 10am on Saturday December 3 at Ren and will be distributing invites in the neighborhood for our Christmas Boost program. We will adopt 20 families from the little neighborhood around Friendship Street and put together a blessing for them at Christmas.
Christmas Decorating Party
Saturday December 3rd from 2-5pm will be our annual Christmas decorating party. This is open to everyone and especially the children. Various interactive craft stations will be set up to work on simple decorations. Refreshments will be provided.
Core Gathering
At Ren the Core is another word for membership. Sometimes we call it Core Membership. The Core are those who have made a decision to make Ren their church and are devoted to playing their part well. It's a covenant of sorts between the pastors/elders and the people.

Mission groups meet weekly for prayer and discussion focused around particular people groups.

Over 40 Circle
The over 40 circle is a small group of people over the age of 40, which has been doing some sort of gathering about once a month to build relationships. Read the weekly email for times and locations!
Family Circle
This gathering is for parents raising children, and meets on the last Sunday of each month for fellowship and parent equipping. Keep an eye on the weekly newsletter for times and locations!
Young Adults Circle
We define young adults at Ren as anyone under 40. The regular gathering happens most Sundays at 6:30pm in the sanctuary. It's a time of discussion and worship. The young adults also do a number of other things throughout the month such as house parties, worship nights, outings and so on. Contact us if you'd like to be on their email list to hear about happenings.
Together conference
One of the most exciting things of the year is happening Fri-Sat October 21-22. Dozens of Rhode Island churches over the past year have been planning a special gathering of churches across the region specifically to fuel a movement of prayer and to equip Christians in the effort to advance the Gospel. I have had the privilege of being part of the planning team.
