Hey neighbors! If you live behind our church building in Providence (between Broad St, Prairie Ave, and now Public St), we are offering $50 worth of free fresh produce and other groceries once a month in 2021 to those who could use the extra boost in these times. We have open spots available, but space is limited—first come first serve.
We deliver by foot to homes on these streets: Blackstone St, Chester Ave, Corn planter Row, W Clifford St, Comstock Ave, Dudley St, Friendship St, Glenham St, Haskin St, Harvard Ave, Hayward St, Linden St, Lockwood St, Marlborough Ave, Maple St, Meadow St, Morning Star Row, Mt. Vernon St, St. James St, Myrtle St, Pearl St, Pine St, Point St, Portland St, Prairie Ave (between Point St and Public St), Stewart St, Somerset St, Summer St, Tanner St, Taylor St, Wesleyan Ave, Wickham St, and Willard Ave. We cannot guarantee grocery delivery to to any residence outside of this area on the map.
How It Works
Sign up in the form above, fill out your grocery list, and volunteers from Ren Church will drop off free groceries at your door on a delivery day. We’ll text you on the day of to let you know when we’re arriving. Once you sign up, you’re on our list to get free groceries once a month till December 2021!
Grocery drop-off is usually the third Saturday of every month in 2021.
DELIVERY DATES:
November 20 at 11am-12pm
December 11 at 11am-12pm (updated)
Upon sign-up, we’ll text you a grocery list a week before each delivery so you can choose your items that we’ll pick up for you. Types of groceries include fresh fruits and vegetables from SCLT or Farm Fresh RI, rice, beans, cooking oil and more.
