Hi Ren family,
If you have not heard, one of our beloved members went home to be with the Lord this week. Jackie Plante, 83 years old, was surrounded by friends and family as she slipped peacefully into the Father’s arms late Saturday afternoon. Tiffany and I were fortunate to spend a little time with Jackie that afternoon. She was smiling and praying and ministering love to people even in her extreme weakness. What a wonderful and lovely woman of God! Jackie was a mom to many, an intercessor, an advocate for the poor, a shepherd, and one of the hardest workers I’ve ever met—even in her last years! She and Roger were part of the small team that helped establish Ren Church in 2003. Jackie has poured her life out through the years to strengthen the Ren community. She has been a friend, a therapist, a spiritual mom, and a pastor to me. Jackie was the best empathetic listener I’ve ever known. What a gift she has been. I miss her so much already!
This Saturday at 10 am, at Ren Church, we will have a memorial service to give tribute to Jackie. All are welcome to come celebrate her beautiful life.
I want to ask you to pray, especially for Roger, Jackie’s husband. Jackie also left behind 38 children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren! Pray for them that God’s comfort would abound.
