What to Expect

Morning Prayer | 9 - 9:30 am

Sunday Service | 10 am

10 Tripps Lane, East Providence, RI 02915

The Sunday morning celebration happens weekly at 10 am, with a time of singing and in-depth teaching from God’s Word. We have pre-service prayer in the sanctuary, open to all, from 9 to 9:30 am. Between 9:30-10 am the cafe is open (all cafe beverages are free of charge).

That said, every Sunday is a little different. We serve communion on the first Sunday of each month. When there are five Sundays in a month we set aside one Sunday (usually the 5th) to be all together for a time of singing and/or to share a community meal. Meals are always free of charge. It is always a good idea to check our social media pages ahead of time for any announcements about changes to the schedule.

We provide full kids church programming for children up to 5th grade during the service. The older children (1st to 5th) are brought to the kids area after the opening set of worship. We really want the children to experience worship! The exception is the fourth Sunday of the month which are what we call “Family Sundays” when we have the older kids (kinder to 5th) in service with us to get them familiar with the adult service. A big reason why we regularly include the children is because we want them to feel part of our wider church community. Most weeks we have separate programming for the kids, which is great, but we are passionate about doing things all together. On Family Sundays, children are provided with a few things to keep them engaged in the service; a clipboard and crayons, and other small items.

We are a small church, and we work hard at hospitality. So, in the middle of service we usually have a brief 5 minute break for people to say hi to one another. Somebody will very likely introduce themselves to you. If you have questions about anything you’ll see greeters around the church, and we also have a Welcome Table in the main foyer near the cafe you can come to with your questions.

Our church space can be a little hard to find the first time. We share a large 70,000 square foot building at 10 Tripps Lane with a nonprofit called PACE. Our space is all the way around the back. There are two entrances, a double door under an awning and a single door by the grassy area. You’ll see the Ren Church signage on each of the entrances. You can park anywhere in the oversized lot.
