Our newly renovated downstairs kids area, the Valley, received some beautiful art installations by talented Ren artist Christine, AKA The Hipster Housewife. Christine is an artist specializing in hand-lettering, and she offered to lend her skills to beautify the walls in the Valley. She created each of these pieces by hand, and then we had them enlarged and cut out of vinyl to install on the walls.
We chose three phrases, one being the RENkids mission statement:
"RENkids exists to help children discover the joy of knowing Jesus"
...and the other two being scriptures that we want our kids to grow up surrounded by:
"You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand." -Psalm 16:11
"The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing." -Zephaniah 3:17
Our prayer is that these truths sink deeply into our kids' hearts and they grow up experiencing God delighting in and filling them with joy.
